Meetup page: www.meetup.com/kcbbqclub The Kansas City Barbeque Club is a social group for barbeque lovers all across Kansas City metropolitan area. This group was started by Travis Pflanz in 2018 through Meetup. I (Dave Whitaker) stepped into the organizer role as of 2024. Please note that the group is free, but members must purchase their own food and beverages at events. To become of the member of the group, please go to the Meetup page. Expectations of Members Upload a profile photo that is a clear closeup shot of your face. We meet in-real-life, so we need to know who you are. You must RSVP to attend. Some restaurants require reservations so it is necessary to know an exact number of how many are expected. Only RSVP as GOING if you are 100% positive you can make it. Events are limited to 8 attendees. Be respectful and don't take a spot you may not use. Show up on time. It's rude to make the whole group wait for you. If you RSVP as GOING, then no-show, you risk removal from the group as you may be preventing others from participating. Members may bring 1 guest. Add them as a +1 when you RSVP. The group is limited to 50 members. If we reach that capacity and there is a waiting list to join, then inactive members may be removed. You are considered inactive if you miss more than three consecutive events. Members may be removed from the group at the organizer's discretion if your presence causes friction amongst the group.
